Who these terms cover
These terms are an agreement between you and KaitTech Solutions, owned and operated by Kaitlin Guy ("KaitTech", "we"). They apply to this website and to the repair, setup, and tech-help services described on it. On-site service is offered in central Maine; remote support is offered nationwide.
Pricing and the $55 diagnostic
- Every job starts with a flat $55 diagnostic fee. It reserves your appointment, is the minimum charge for any job, and is credited toward your repair if you go ahead.
- Labor beyond the first hour is billed at $70 per hour.
- You approve the plan and the price before any repair work begins. If something unexpected turns up mid-job, work pauses until you approve the change.
- Parts are quoted separately and approved by you before they're ordered. Parts carry their manufacturers' warranties.
Booking and payment
Appointments are pre-paid: the $55 diagnostic fee locks in your spot. Payment is accepted by card (processed by Stripe), Venmo, or Cash App. If you need to reschedule, get in touch as soon as you can at kait@kaittech.solutions or (601) 641-9460 and we'll work it out.
Remote sessions
Remote support happens only after you've signed the remote-access consent form, and only through RustDesk or AnyDesk sessions that you personally start. You watch everything live and can end the session at any moment. We never connect without an appointment you booked.
Your data, and backing it up
Computer repair carries an unavoidable risk to data: drives fail, updates go sideways, and a machine that comes in unstable can get worse before it gets better. Please back up anything you can't lose before your appointment. We take real care with your files — and offer backup as a service if you'd like help — but KaitTech is not responsible for loss of data, software, or configurations during service. Data recovery from a failing drive is attempted on a best-effort basis and is never guaranteed.
What we don't do
We keep our promises honest. KaitTech does not sell cybersecurity services (such as security audits or business network security), and nothing on this site is a promise that a computer can be made immune to future problems, infections, or failures.
Your responsibilities
- You confirm you own the device being serviced, or have the owner's permission.
- You have the legal right to the software and data on it.
- Information you submit through the forms is accurate, and you won't use the forms to send spam or anything unlawful.
Limits of liability
To the fullest extent Maine law allows, KaitTech's total liability for any claim arising from our services or this website is limited to the amount you paid for the service in question, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages such as lost profits, lost data, or downtime. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
This website
The content of this site — text, images, and branding — belongs to KaitTech Solutions and may not be copied for commercial use without permission. We try to keep everything on the site accurate and current, but details like pricing may change; the price you approve before work begins is always the one that counts.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maine. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Maine.
Changes and contact
If these terms change, the new version will be posted here with an updated date. Questions are always welcome: kait@kaittech.solutions or (601) 641-9460.
