Why I started KaitTech
I'm Kaitlin "Kait" Guy, and I fix computers for the people big tech support forgets: the grandmother whose window "disappeared" off the side of her screen, the neighbor whose new router arrived in a box with no explanation, anyone who's ever felt embarrassed to ask.
Those problems are real, they're fixable, and nobody should be made to feel silly for having them. So I built a service around patience: I explain everything in plain English, I write the steps down for you, and I answer the "dumb questions" happily, because they aren't dumb.
KaitTech is based in central Maine, where I do house calls. For everything that doesn't need a screwdriver, I help people across the whole country over a secure remote session.

Every visit ends with the important steps written down in plain English, so you're never left trying to remember what we did. Keep the notes by the computer; they're yours.
What you can expect from me
Honesty first
If your computer isn't worth fixing, I'll say so and help you find the right replacement instead. My prices are published and my quotes come before the work.
Your pace, not mine
Lessons and explanations go as slowly as you like, repeated as often as you need. That's not a favor; it's the service.
Your permission, always
Remote sessions happen only after you've signed a consent form and personally invited me in. Nothing about your computer is touched without your say-so.
